My research statement: The current production techniques of clothing are damaging to the environment because they release certain wastes into the air and use large amounts of non-renewable energy sources.
My research question: What are new ways to produce clothing that will be less damaging on the environment, such as new fabrics or production techniques?
Today, the way that clothing is produced is very hard on the environment. It puts many toxins into our atmosphere that destroys our o-zone layer, pollutes the air we breathe, and many other environemental issues. I plan to research some different ways that clothing can be produced that is environmentally friendly. Also, I am going to look into other materials that can be used that is better for the environment such as organic cotton.
Please share with me anything else you think I should reserach in order to find a better way to make clothing production environmentally friendly.
